Chiellini up for the cup: “We can beat anyone”

Our defensive stalwart is sure Juve have what it takes to go toe to toe with Barça.

Just a few words, because he was pushed for time – caught between the dressing-room celebrations and boarding the bus waiting to take the team to the airport. Just a couple of minutes, but it was enough for Giorgio Chiellini to throw down the gauntlet to Barcelona.

“We’re all absolutely delighted. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet but we’ve played our way into the final in Berlin and we deserve to be there.

“We’re convinced we’ve got what it takes to win it because we’re a strong side and we can beat anyone.

“It’s a wonderful night for us. Let’s enjoy it to the full because you don’t get nights like this very often.”

Very true, Chiello. So go and enjoy being a Champions League finalist on the journey back to Turin. And don’t forget that before the European Cup we also have an Italian Cup to win!

Bon anniversaire, Patrice!

The left-back turns 34 today. Many happy returns from everyone at Juventus!

Class, courage and endeavour. Just three words that personify left-back Patrice Evra who turns 34 today.

Since joining the club from Premier League outfit Manchester United last summer, the French international has established himself as a firm fans’ favourite with his warrior-like performances and no-nonsense attitude.

Evra recently added the Scudetto title to his ever-growing list of honours and with finals in both the Coppa Italia and Champions League to come, he could be about to enjoy the season of a lifetime in the famous black and white jersey.

Everyone associated with Juventus Football Club would like to wish Patrice many happy returns on his special day.

Derby d’Italia preparations take flight in Vinovo

Hours after returning home from Madrid, the Bianconeri immediately take to the training field for a morning workout ahead of Saturday’s trip to Inter

There was no time for Juventus to bask in the glory of yesterday’s Champions League result in Madrid which saw them book their place in June’s final, with the squad getting straight back to work hours after returning home.

With Saturday’s Derby d’Italia away at Inter now firmly on the horizon, Massimiliano Allegri is leaving no stone unturned as he looks to keep both his men’s fitness and good form up ahead of their cup exploits.

Those who figured in the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu remained in the gym for a warm-down earlier this morning, while the remainder of the group conducted a mixed workout under the watchful eyes of their coach.

Just one final afternoon training session stands in Juventus’ way before this weekend’s encounter, with Allegri set to address the media tomorrow at midday CEST prior to putting his troops through their paces.

Massimiliano Allegri: “A great season so far”

In a special edition of Jtv’s Filo Diretto, the boss gives his take on a stellar first campaign in the Bianconeri dugout

Massimiliano Allegri says his side have surpassed all expectations this term as he comes towards the conclusion of his first campaign in the Juventus dugout.

The 47-year-old, who led the Bianconeri to their fourth consecutive Serie A title earlier this month, doesn’t want to stop there though as he eyes glory in both the Coppa Italia and Champions League finals.

Speaking to Jtv’s Laura Barriales, Allegri began by praising everyone associated with the ongoing success at the club, both on and off the field.

Juventus have faced many challenges over the course of the season, managing to overcome the majority, and one particular encounter earlier on this year stuck in the Tuscan tactician’s mind with regards to its importance.

After the Bianconeri booked their place in this year’s Champions League final on Wednesday, all eyes of Serie A will be on tonight’s Europa League semi-finals involving Fiorentina and Napoli.

And Allegri believes that if the duo were to progress at the expense of their respective opponents and make it an all-Italian final, it would only strengthen the top flight further.

Looking further afield, the boss provided a quick word on Barcelona, the side who stand in the Old Lady’s way from a third triumph in Europe’s elite competition.

Supporters can read the remainder of Allegri’s thoughts over on the club’s official English-speaking Twitter profile.

Good morning, good morning, good morning. Here are the front pages from Italy main Sports newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tutto Sport from Thursday 14 May 2015.

Hello my friends and let me just tell you how happy I am today!    I hope you are feeling happy too.   My gosh, I lost my voice yesterday while cheering for Juventus.   Let the party continue and allow me to share a virtual Pizza with chips!     I love the headline of Tutto Sport!    “Yes, Juve, yes” with the colors of the Italian flag.    In case you don’t know.. it refers to Juventus qualifying to the Champions League Final after defeating Real Madrid in aggregate result 2-3.     It is a fantastic 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.   Now, the big appointment is on June in Berlin to make history!

La Gazzetta dello Sport’s headline… making me feel happier with the big word “PARTY!”  Now everybody to Berlin.   A heroic draw 1-1 and the eighth final is with Messi!  Yep…   Juventus will challenge Barcelona and we are all energized to root for Juve and honor Italian football.

Headlines of Corriere dello Sport also calling Juventus players “heroes”.  Forward Alvaro Morata equalizes the game after Cristiano Ronaldo gave the lead to Real Madrid by converting the penalty.

Today.. we are getting ready for 2 Europa League Semifinal games… Fiorentina vs Sevilla and Dnipro vs Napoli at 21:05.
