Last few days for season tickets. New Family Stand coming next year

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – FC Internazionale’s 2014/15 season ticket campaign is drawing to a close. If you haven’t got your season ticket yet, you only have until Friday 3 October: the day after Inter’s Europa League group game against Qarabaq is the last day possible to sign up.

Don’t forget that all the heavyweight Serie A clashes are still to be played at the Meazza and with a season ticket you also get to watch the Nerazzurri’s Europa League group fixtures and the Coppa Italia last 16.

After 3 October it will no longer be possible to purchase a season ticket for the 2014/15 campaign, and there are no plans for half-season tickets.

Family Stand 2015/16

Only 2014/15 season ticket holders will have the option of signing up for a season ticket in the new Family Stand for 2015/16, where limited places will be available. Besides reduced rates for families, the new stand will come with special facilities, hospitality and entertainment for children. Full details are to be revealed in due course.

Rest day for Inter

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – Walter Mazzarri has given his men the day off today following their convincing win over Atalanta last night.

A few of the players reported in to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti anyway for treatment, personalised training or recovery work.

An afternoon session awaits the Nerazzurri tomorrow, Friday 26 September, when they will begin their preparations for the next match: it’s back to the Stadio Meazza on Sunday for the 2014/15 Serie A Week 5 clash against Cagliari, a 15:00 kick-off.

Medel: “Zamorano told me all about the Meazza”

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – It was a special evening for Gary Medel as his battling display and selfless toiling for the cause earned him the admiration of the San Siro faithful. Afterwards he was interviewed by Inter Channel about the three points claimed in front of the home supporters.

“I’m really happy for the team,” he said. “We got a great result from a very tough game. We managed to take the lead after 40 minutes through Daniel and I think overall we were better in the first half than in the second.”

What’s it like being the Inter fans’ new idol? “It’s a really nice feeling. They see and appreciate the effort you put in on the pitch and they pay you back with their support.”

It was no less than confirmation of what he’d been told already: that Inter are a special team with special fans: “Ivan Zamorano told me about the amazing support you get in this spectacular stadium. Hopefully I can become an idol for them like he was.”

The Chilean midfielder saved his last thoughts for Osvaldo: “I’m delighted for him. He scored a wonderful goal which set us on our way to victory. Now we have to keep going.”

Dodo: “A good win”

< ![CDATA[

MILAN – Dodo was undoubtedly one of the protagonists of Inter’s defeat of Atalanta, and after the game he spoke to Inter Channel.

He started by talking about Hernanes’ stunning free kick which made it 2-0 to the Nerazzurri, given that it could easily have been him that stepped up to take it: “It’s often me or Hernanes who takes the free kicks but as he was on the bench today the coach told me I would take them. However, when Hernanes came on we agreed that he’d take them, and he did a very good job!

“It was not an easy one given where it was – very close to the area so there wasn’t much space to get it over the wall and back down again. We were trying to decide how to go about it, but it turned out well in the end and we’re all delighted.”

The Brazilian went on to discuss the team’s performance as a whole: “We started very strongly. We were up against a team full of good players and a very wily manager, but we managed to dig deep and get the win. It’s a great victory.”

Dodo then looked back to Sunday’s draw with Palermo: “After the match we were all angry; we were desperate to win. I think our second-half performance deserved the three points. We were taking risks towards the end, but if you don’t take risks you don’t reap the rewards.”

The midfielder concluded by touching on the real fighting spirit he’s been showing on the pitch: “I’ve always had a fierce competitive streak. Having players with big personalities inspires the team – players like Juan Jesus and Medel really spur you on. We’re a proper group and that’s vital.”
