It’s the first game of the season for Hellas Verona and Napoli.   Hellas returning to the Serie A after being promoted from Serie B while Napoli ready to battle for the Serie A Scudetto.  A sour return for Hellas losing their first home game at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.  Stats remain positive for Napoli not losing a debut match in Serie A with a newly promoted team in 15 games (11 wins 4 draws).

Things not working out for Hellas Verona.   Napoli taking the lead in the 32nd minute after the own goal by Samuel Souprayen.

Napoli needed 7 more minutes to increase the score after the first goal.  In the 39th minute, following a fast break, there it is forward Arkadiusz Milik defeating goalkeeper Nicolas with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.   The assist is by forward Lorenzo Insigne.

A cold shower for Hellas Verona unable to break Napoli’s defense. In the 62nd minute, Napoli scoring another goal. It is Faouzi Ghoulam to deliver a left footed shot to the center.

Hellas Verona shortening the distance in the 83rd minute.   Referee giving a penalty to Hellas Verona conceded by Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj after a foul on Daniel Bessa… It is forward Giampaolo Pazzini to convert the penalty with a right footed shot in the center.  Total joy for the fans celebrating Pazzini’s   goal in Serie A.   Napoli remaining with 10 players because Hysaj gets his second yellow card for the automatic red card.
