The victory helped Juventus to climb from the 5th to the 4th position on the final day of the Serie A season securing the Champions League qualification. Juventus with the victory crushed Napoli’s hope to be in Champions League because Napoli failed to win the game against Hellas Verona ending with a 1-1.
The ending of the season and on Saturday the 3 games ending with Crotone 0- 0 Fiorentina, Cagliari 0 – 1 Genoa, and Sampdoria 3 – 0 Parma. The victory of Sampdoria very emotional for Coach Claudio Ranieri saying goodbye to the club and fans. Sampdoria forward Fabio Quagliarella playing his 500 game in Serie A celebrating with a goal!
Napoli suffering a major blow with the 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona. The draw sent Napoli down to the 5th position meaning they are out of the Champions League next season. Juventus took the 4th position after crushing Bologna with a 4-1 qualying for the Champions. Napoli reached 77 points while Juventus with 78 points being +1 point on top of Napoli worth enough for the Champions League qualification.
