🔴🔵   Cagliari 0 – 1 AC Milan   🔴⚫️

AC Milan kicks off the New Year 2026 on a high note by winning their opening game at the Unipol Domus. This victory places AC Milan temporarily at the top of the standings with 38 points.   The Rossoneri had a lackluster first half but showed improvement in the second half.  AC Milan netted the sole goal of the match in the 50th minute. Rafael Leão found the back of the net with a left-footed shot from the center of the box into the top left corner, assisted by Adrien Rabiot’s cross.

⚪️🔵   Como 1 – 0 Udinese ⚪️⚫️

Como triumphed over Udinese at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. Como shifts into second gear and closes in on Juventus, reaching 30 points. Unfortunately for Udinese, their struggles continue, having managed to secure just 1 point in their last 3 league games. Runjaic’s squad remains at 22 points, putting their 11th place in the standings in jeopardy.  They narrowly defeated Udinese with a penalty converted by Da Cunha in the 18th minute of the match. Udinese had a single scoring chance, which Ekkelenkamp was unable to convert at the beginning of the second half.

🔴⚫️    Genoa 1 – 1 Pisa  ⚫️🔵

⚫️🟢    Sassuolo 1 – 1  Parma  🟡🔵

⚪️⚫️    Juventus 1 – 1 Lecce   🟡🔴

Juventus ended their first match of 2026 in a 1-1 draw against Lecce  at the Allianz Stadium.    The first half was largely controlled by Juventus, who squandered several chances, faced an outstanding performance from Falcone in goal, and even struck the post. Just before halftime, in the 45+1 minute, Lameck Banda found the net with a right-footed shot from the center of the box into the top left corner, thanks to a setup from Cambiaso that allowed Banda to score Lecce’s opening goal. In the second half, the home team quickly equalized in the 49th minute. Weston McKennie netted a left-footed shot from the center of the box into the middle of the goal.

  ⚫️🔵   Atalanta 1 – 0 AS Roma  🟡🔴

Atalanta achieved a notable victory against AS Roma at the New Balance Arena. This result is a blow for Roma.  Gian Piero Gasperini, whose contract extends until 2026, should not only be requesting one or two strikers for his squad but also demanding greater ruthlessness in crucial matches. Tonight’s game in Bergamo was no different: it concluded with a 1-0 win for Palladino’s Atalanta, thanks to a first-half goal from Scalvini. The match was filled with controversies (was there a foul on Svilar during Atalanta’s goal?), disputes between the coaching staff, some overly aggressive tackles, and a disallowed goal for Scamacca. Also highlighted was Gasperini’s nine-year relationship with Bergamo. There was a spiteful banner, another expressing affection, along with applause and chants.

⚪️🔵   Lazio 0 – 2  Napoli  🔵
Napoli triumphs at the Olimpico Stadium, defeating Lazio.  Conte’s squad secured the win in the first half with goals from Spinazzola and Rrahmani. These three vital points keep Napoli in the race for first place with 37 points, responding to Milan’s challenge with 38 points.   Noslin was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow for a foul on McTominay, having already been cautioned for a confrontation with Hojlund. Just before the added time, Marusic and Mazzocchi were also dismissed. A harsh tackle between the two ignited a significant brawl that involved the benches, with Conte being the first to step in and try to break up the altercation.
 ⚜️  Fiorentina  1 – 0 Cremonese  🩶❤️

Fiorentina triumphed over Cremonese at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. The three valuable points brought their total to 12, keeping them in 18th place. Fiorentina is facing a tough challenge as they fight for survival.  It was a challenging match for Nicola’s squad, who only managed to threaten their opponents once towards the end of the game. The Grigiorossi have only earned one point in their last four matches and will be hosting Cagliari in the upcoming round.

 🟡🔵  Hellas Verona  0 – 3  Torino 🐂
⚫️🔵   Inter 3 – 1 Bologna  🔴🔵

Inter achieved a significant win against Bologna at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. With this victory, Inter accumulated 39 points, maintaining their position as the sole leader heading into Serie A Week 18. Chivu’s squad kicked off 2026 in style, marking their fifth consecutive win in the league. They are currently one point ahead of Milan, who have 38 points, and two points ahead of Napoli, sitting at 37.
