Hello my friends. Here are the results of the Serie A Week 36 – Thirty-sixth Round on Saturday 30 April, Sunday 1 and Monday 2 May 2016. We have only 2 more games after this round to end the Serie A on 15 May with 6 points available.

Status quo in the first 3 positions remaining the same.  In the first position with 88 points we have Juventus who already won the Scudetto, in the second position Napoli with 76 points and AS Roma in the third position with 74 points.  Therefore, Champions League zone for all three teams.

In the Europa League zone, we have now Inter in the 4th position with 64 points, Fiorentina in the 5th position with 60 points.  Novelty here is that AC Milan having now 54 points lost the 6th position after their 3-3 draw against Frosinone at the San Siro Stadium.  Sassuolo defeated Hellas Verona and is now in the 6th position with 55 points.  It will be up to Sassuolo to make history and keep the 6th position to play for a spot in Europa League next season.  Though, AC Milan can still make it if they win the remaining two games and Sassuolo lose or draw 1 game.

Mathematically speaking, it is confirmed.   Hellas Verona are relegated to Serie B having only 25 points.  Battle for salvation remain open among  Udinese (38), Palermo (35), Carpi (35), and Frosinone (31).   Palermo gaining momentum after defeating Sampdoria at the Renzo Barbera Stadium with a 2-0.  Udinese wasting the chance to win the home game at the Friuli Stadium losing with a mega goleada. Udinese 1 – 5 Torino.

The top scorer up to Round 36: Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain with 32 goals

AC Milan  dream to be in Europa League next season shaking while Frosinone battle for salvation.   This 3-3 draw not helping Milan because they now lost the 6th position going down to the 7th position.  There are no precedents between AC MILAN vs FROSINONE in Serie A at the San Siro Stadium.

Surprise, surprise… a cold shower in San Siro.   Imagine, it is Frosinone to open the score in the 2nd minute sending a shocking wave to the fans.  Forward Luca Paganini defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  The assist is by forward Daniel Ciofani.  This is the second goal of the season by Paganini.

Believe it or not, far from AC Milan reacting it is Frosinone to increase the score.  In the 44th minute, Oliver Kragl defeating goalkeeper Donnarumma with a left footed shot free kick in   the bottom right corner.  This is the first goal by Kragl this season.

Second half starting with Referee giving a penalty to AC Milan in the 47th minute.  Despite all  the chances to score, Milan just having a “NO NO DAY”  and forward Mario Balotelli failing to convert the penalty.  Goalkeeper Bardi saving the penalty in the bottom left corner.!

A ray of hope for AC Milan in the 50th minute.   Forward Carlos Bacca shortening the distance with a left footed shot in the center.

What a relief for the rossoneri.  Imagine, Coach Cristian Brocchi made a substitution in the 73rd minute replacing defender Ignazio Abate to bring defender Luca Antonelli.   One minute later, in the 74th minute it is Antonelli to score with a left footed shot defeating goalkeeper Bardi in the top right corner.

Serie A PREVIEW Week 36, 2015 – 2016 Round Serie A Week 36 – Thirty-sixth Round on Saturday 30 April, Sunday 1 and Monday 2 May 2016

Hello my friends. Here is the Preview for the Serie A Week 36 – Thirty-sixth Round on Saturday 30 April, Sunday 1 and Monday 2 May 2016. We have only 2 more games after this round to end the Serie A on 15 May with 6 points available.  We already know that   Juventus won the 2015 -2016 Serie A Scudetto with 3 games to spare on Week 35.

The second position is still open for Napoli and AS Roma.  Surely, Napoli (73points)  will look to defeat Atalanta at the San Paolo Stadium to keep the second position.   AS Roma (71 points) can overtake the second position only if they defeat Geno at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

The Europa League zone still open.  The battle to reach at least the 6th position for the playoff is open for AC Milan and Sassuolo.

As for relegation, sadly, Hellas Verona is the team having booked their ticket down to Serie B next season.  Desperate battle for salvation is among Udinese, Palermo, Carpi, and Frosinone.

The top scorer up to Round 35: Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain with 30 goals
