Fiorentina, 9th position with 34 points and a positive goal difference of +6
Fiorentina are on a sprint race to climb to the top 6 positions and won the Serie A Week 24 game on Sunday 11 February 2024 at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Surely, a big celebration at the Franchi, both for the goal and for three very important points in the fight to reach the European zone. With this success, Fiorentina reached to 37 points, provisionally two away from the Champions League zone (Atalanta at 39, but with one game less). Frosinone instead suffered defeat number 13 in this Serie A and continued the away nightmare: 12 games, zero wins, three draws and nine defeats.
Fiorentina came to this match after two defeats in a row and, in 2024 in the championship, they have only won one point (2-2 against Udinese) out of 15 available. Nightmare start to the year for Viola, who however boast a very good performance record at home, having won 20 points (out of 33) and despite the knockout. against Inter (0-1) in the last match at the Franchi before today.
On Wednesday 14 February 2024, Fiorentina will be involved at the Dall’Ara against Bologna for the recovery of the twenty-first matchday, while on Sunday 18 February, they will challenge Empoli in the Tuscan “derby”. Also on Sunday 18 February, Frosinone will meet again with the Stirpe public friends for the match against Roma.

✅ Stats before the game: After winning 4-1 in the first match against Frosinone in Serie A (1 November 2015), Fiorentina did not win any of the next four matches against the Ciociari, drawing three (1P), including the first leg (1- 1, 28 September 2023). In the two previous matches at the Artemio Franchi between Fiorentina and Frosinone in Serie A there was one victory each, with the last one won by the Ciociari on 7 April 2019 (1-0, goal by Daniel Ciofani); curiously both those two matches were played on Sunday at 12.30pm, the same day and time as the next match. In a Serie A ranking that only takes into account the new calendar year, Fiorentina would be last together with Salernitana with one point each; before the draw and three defeats with which Viola began 2024 in the league (with seven goals conceded), they had finished 2023 with three victories in a row 1-0. Frosinone have lost six of their last eight games in Serie A (W1, D1), conceding an average of 2.5 goals per game; Furthermore, in this part, the only two matches without defeat were against teams that started the day lower than the Ciociari in the standings (3-1 vs Cagliari, 1-1 vs Hellas Verona). Frosinone is one of the three teams (with Cagliari and Lecce) still chasing an away win in this championship; the last success of the Ciociari away from home in Serie A arrived on the Fiorentina pitch, on 7 April 2019, with a decisive goal by Daniel Ciofani in the 84th minute (1-0).
👉 Lineup Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Kayode, Milenkovic, Martinez Quarta, Biraghi; Duncan, Mandragora; Gonzalez, Beltran, Ikoné; Belotti.
👉 Lineup Frosinone (4-3-3): Turati; Gelli, Okoli, Monterisi, Valeri; Mazzitelli, Barrenechea, Harroui; Soulé, Kaio Jorge, Seck.
