Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Juventus, 6th position with 39 points and a positive goal difference of +19
Como, 15th position with 22 points and a negative goal difference of -11

Como lost the Serie A Week 24 game on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium in Como, Italy. Juventus secured a 2-1 victory over Como, thanks to a standout performance from Kolo Muani, who netted both goals for his team. He started strong with an impressive strike and later sealed the win with a penalty. Como put up a good fight, scoring through Diao, but ultimately faltered after a blunder by Butez. This narrow win helps Juventus climb the standings.  Juventus managed to secure back-to-back league victories since early November, when they won against Udinese and Torino.

In their next match, Juventus will take on Inter, while Como is set to face Fiorentina.

Let’s roll the ball…

Juventus opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Randal Kolo Muani found the back of the net with a powerful right-footed shot aimed at the top center of the goal. Nicolás González provided the assist. After Strefezza lost possession in midfield, Kolo Muani seized the opportunity, launching himself forward and delivering a stunning shot that went under the crossbar, leaving Butez with no chance.

Assane Diao brought Como level with a powerful header into the top left corner. The setup came from Patrick Cutrone, who delivered a precise cross after winning the ball back following a corner. Diao expertly directed the ball past Di Gregorio with his head.

In a thrilling finish, Juventus took the lead in the 89th minute thanks to Randal Kolo Muani. He confidently converted a penalty with a precise right-footed shot into the bottom right corner, leaving Jean Butez with no chance. The penalty was given after Federico Gatti was brought down, and Muani made sure to capitalize on the opportunity.

✅    Stats before the game:

Juventus has maintained an impressive unbeaten streak of 22 Serie A matches against Como, with 13 victories and 9 draws. The last time Como triumphed over the Bianconeri in the top division was on January 20, 1952, when they won 2-0 at Sinigaglia. This marks Como’s longest winless run against any single opponent in Serie A history.

Initially, Como had some success against Juventus, winning two of their first three home matches between 1950 and 1952, but they have since struggled, failing to secure a win in their last 10 home encounters with the Bianconeri, resulting in 4 draws and 6 losses.

Recently, Como has faced challenges, losing their last two league matches against Atalanta and Bologna. They have only experienced a three-match losing streak once in this tournament, which occurred between October and November of this year against Torino, Lazio, and Empoli.

Como did not score in their last league match (0-2 against Bologna) and could remain dry in two consecutive Serie A games for the first time since April-May 2003.

Juventus won their last Serie A game against Empoli and have not achieved two consecutive league wins since the beginning of November (against Udinese and Torino in that case).
