Antonio Conte’s inaugural match as Napoli’s coach in the 2024-25 Serie A Season has proven to be a dismal affair, with his team suffering a 3-0 loss to Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Atalanta claimed the away victory after a rough first thirty minutes, struggling to find their rhythm. Undeniable, once Gasperini’s team found their footing, they dominated the game. Furthermore, Mateo Retegui and Marco Brescianini both netted two goals, effectively dismantling Lecce, who seemed to vanish after the first half’s midpoint. Dušan Vlahović came close to scoring twice, hitting the post on both attempts, while Andrea Cambiaso capped off the match with a goal in the 91st minute.
