Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 13 RESULTS / Thirteenth Round on Saturday 23, Sunday 24, and Monday 25 November 2019.

👉 Up to Serie A Week 13: There is a three-way race between Juventus (35), Inter (34), and Lazio (27)

The status quo remain the same in the leadership.  Juventus keeping the first position reaching 35 points after defeating Atalanta at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium.  Inter remain in the second position reaching 34 points after defeating Torino at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium.

Napoli slowing down and their quest to be among the top 3 positions seem a mirage.   Napoli failed to defeat AC Milan at the San Siro Stadium ending with a 1 – 1 draw.  The draw is not helping any, but Milan also sinking failing to win the home game.

Good news is for Sampdoria because they have abandoned the relegation zone.  Sampdoria defeated Udinese with a 2-1 giving them the full 3 points.  Sampdoria climbed from the 18th to the 16th position.

Cagliari gaining momentum after the 2-2 draw against Lecce at the Via del Mare Stadium.  Cagliari jumped to the 4th position reaching 25 points and a positive goal difference of +11.  AS Roma after defeating Brescia with a 3-0 reached also 25 points though with a +9 goal difference goes down to the 5th position.

Montella reacts to defeat at Verona

Vincenzo Montella refused to criticise his Fiorentina side’s effort as they were beaten 1-0 by Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday afternoon.

“I don’t think it was a high-quality game today,” he said after the game. “We put the effort in and kept showing that we didn’t want to lose right until the end. Verona were better than us at times. They’ve caused every team they’ve played so far problems, so I wasn’t expecting anything different today. I expected a higher standard, but I think the team responded in the right way in terms of the effort.”

Montella singled out Sebastian Cristoforo for praise after the Uruguayan came back into the Viola midfield after a long spell out of the team.
“I want to give credit to Cristoforo, because he has not played much football at all,” he said. “He left every drop of sweat out there so I want to congratulate him because it was quite possible that we wouldn’t have been able to give 100% today because he hadn’t played for so long.”
There were a smattering of boos from the travelling fans at the end of the game, with Montella acknowledging that nobody wants to see the Viola lose.
“I heard them and I understand them,” he said. “They cheered us on all game and have done all season so I think they are entitled to express their dissatisfaction in such a civil way. We’ll do everything to give them back that enthusiasm that only wins can create. Nobody likes losing, but we’ve produced seven or eight top performances this season and nobody was expecting that.”

Fiorentina launch official TikTok account

ACF Fiorentina have announced the launch of a new official club account on TikTok, the leading social network for sharing short videos.

As part of the club’s international brand development strategy and new social media content creation and digital innovation initiatives, Fiorentina will use TikTok to reach and engage with a new online audience.

Launched in 2017, the company acquired Musical.ly in the same year before being renamed TikTok in 2018. It now operates across over 150 countries, has been translated into 75 languages and has quickly become a favourite platform for users to express their creative sides.
The new Fiorentina account began posting content yesterday and will share short videos shining a light on club life both on and off the pitch, with each video accompanied by a different song.

#OneTeam, Dragowski on becoming a keeper, his idols and Ribery’s impact

Bartlomiej Dragowski took part in our #OneTeam Q&A session alongside Fiorentina Women’s FC goalkeeper Stephanie Ohrstrom on Thursday, answering questions sent in by fans in a live social media broadcast.

There were plenty of questions sent in for both keepers, with Dragowski touching on everything from his hometown club, his childhood idols and his best mate in the Viola dressing room.

We’ve picked out a few of the best questions below.
What’s the key to becoming a successful goalkeeper?
“That’s a good question but there’s no one answer. It’s important to give 100% in everything you do, every day, in training. Our position is a very individual position. You spend a lot of time doing nothing and that means you need to be focused mentally. You have to work on that too – you can’t forget about the mental side of things.”
Do you have a favourite ever save?
“All saves are good. I’m always happy when the ball doesn’t go in because sometimes a good save can lead to a goal. For a keeper, the best thing is to get a clean sheet. I prefer to go all game without facing a shot, though! When the team is playing well, I’m more relaxed.”
Which team do you support?
“I was always a fan of my hometown club: Jagiellonia Bialystok. I started training there when I was young and it was there that I started out as a player. I’m still a big fan. They’re not doing badly this year but they can always do better.”
Who was your goalkeeping idol growing up?
“My idol was Artur Boruc. I tried to copy everything he did when I was younger. Nowadays I have a few goalkeepers I like to observe: [Marc-Andre] ter-Stegen, Alisson, Ederson. I try to learn something different from all of them and incorporate that into my own game.”
How important is it for a goalkeeper to be good with their feet and was that hard for you?
“Well, I started out as an outfield player, on the wing, but I would only run forwards! I wasn’t so good as dropping back. It’s important for goalkeepers to be good with their feet nowadays – some keepers are like playmakers for their teams now. They start moves off and virtually all moves go through the keeper.”

Who’s your best friend in the squad?
“We’ve finally signed another Polish player in Szymon Zurkowski. He’s speaks my language and we’ve know each other for a while. That said, I get on well with all of the lads in the dressing room.”
How big an impact has Franck Ribery had this season?
“He’s the kind of player that can make the difference. He’s got huge quality. In the dressing room he’s a fantastic person. It’s hard to put it into words. He’s really important for the team. Away from the pitch he’s always making jokes, laughing, making people laugh… He’s great.”
