👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2023-2024 Italian Serie A Week 33 RESULTS / Thirty-third Round on Friday 19, Saturday 20, Sunday 21, and Monday 22 April 2024.

Inter are the 2023-2024 Italy’s Champions winning the Scudetto after defeating AC Milan in the Milan Derby reaching 86 points.   Inter’s 20th Italian league title and earn the Nerazzurri a second star on their shirts. A star is awarded for every 10 Serie A titles.  Only Juventus, which has a record 36 titles has three stars.  Inter beat AC Milan 2-1.  Goals on either side of half-time by Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram set Inter on their way.   An honor goal for AC Milan by ikayo Tomori in the 80th minute.  Inter have a +17 points lead more than their immediate pursuer, AC Milan in the second position.

Juventus lack of away victories continues, despite the comeback suffered, it is still an important point for Cagliari in terms of salvation. Juventus ended 2-2 against Cagliari. Here is the situation. If Bologna beat Roma, Bologna will reach 62 points being just -2 points below Juventus. In few words, Juventus are risking to lose the third position next week.

Crisis for Napoli. Three very precious points for Empoli who reach 31, momentarily surpassing Udinese and Hellas Verona, who will soon be playing against each other. Napoli probably says goodbye to the Champions League race and remains stuck at 49 points, Roma, now in fifth place, is -5 but with two games less.

Second consecutive victory for Lazio, which is repeated after the success against Salernitana and overtakes Atalanta into sixth place in the standings, moving within three points of fifth-placed Roma, even though both the Bergamo players and the Giallorossi have played two games less than biancocelesti. Genoa, however, returned to lose after four games, failing to move closer to the left column of the table, but remains, at least momentarily, +12 above the relegation zone.

Atalanta conquered the U-Power Stadium defeating Monza to claim the Lombard Derby thanks to a goal in each half from Charles De Keteleare and El Bilal, but suffered at the end. The late reaction from Monza with an honor goal scored by Daniel Maldini

🏆👉    Mission accomplished and the party is all for the Roman Gladiators. Roma won the Europa League Quarterfinals Second Leg game beating AC Milan on Thursday 18 April 2024 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy. Roma qualified for the Europa League Semi-finals where they will challenge the new German champions, Bayer Leverkusen. A match that saw the Giallorossi go ahead by two goals in the first half with Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala. At the half hour the hosts were left with ten men due to Celik’s expulsion, but Milan, despite the entry of all their attacking men, did not take advantage of it, only managing to find a goal with Gabbia in the final.

Roma will then fly to the semi-final where they will face Bayer Leverkusen who managed to snatch a draw with West Ham, after winning the first leg 2-0. Milan, with more than one foot in the Champions League, also given the officiality of the five teams for next season, remains with Monday evening’s derby and the search for second place in the Serie A.

Roma won both legs of a knockout stage of a European competition for the first time since the 2020/21 Europa League round of 16 against Shakhtar Donetsk, as well as for first time ever against an Italian opponent.

✅  Stats before the game: Roma have lost three of their last four home games played against Milan in all competitions (D1), one defeat more than the previous 16 (W7, D7, D2). Milan have already won 2-1 at Roma in Serie A this season – the last team to win two away games in the same season against the Giallorossi was Fiorentina in 2014/15. The next one will be the third home match in which Roma will face an Italian team in a European competition: in the other two previous matches the Giallorossi defeated Inter 1-0 in the second leg of the 1991 UEFA Cup final and lost 3- 0 against Fiorentina in the round of 16 of the 2014-15 Europa League. Milan have lost only one of the six European away games played against Italian teams (2W, 3D), even if the defeat came in the last one against Inter last season in the Champions League semi-final.
