AC MILAN BIRTHDAYS: BEST WISHES TO ALESSANDRO MASTALLI!
MILAN – Back with the Milan Primavera, and on the mend after suffering a nose injury, today is Alessandro Mastalli’s 20th birthday. Best wishes from everybody involved at the club!
Mastalli was part of the Primavera team that lifted the 2014 Viareggio trophy under Filippo Inzaghi and made his first team debut for the Rossoneri against Torino a year later in May 2015.
Once again, best wishes Alessandro!
ON THIS DAY 7 February: RIVERA SCORES HIS ONLY GOAL VERSUS MILAN
MILAN – One match, two memorable moments, all it happened on this day, the 7 February 1960.
The occasion was Milan-Alessandria in round 18 of Serie A and with the score at 2-0 in Milan’s favour, Altafini added a third in what was also the Rossoneri’s 3000th goal in club history. But there was more to come and on 86 minutes a young Rivera pulled one back for the visitors. It would prove to be his only goal in official matches against Milan for whom he would spend the rest of his career, going on to earn legendary status. Final score: Milan-Alessandria 3-1.
BIANCHESSI TO MILAN CHANNEL: “Esordienti ’04 a great squad with a fantastic coach.”
