🏆👉USA and Wales playing for the first time in a World Cup game ended the FIFA World Cup Group B with a draw on Monday 21 November 2022 at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. Wales attend a World Cup 64 years after their last participation (1958) – the longest gap between appearances by a single team in the history of the tournament.

USA and Wales have 1 point each. This draw is a flop for the United States after leading the game while conceded a penalty which was the equalizer for Wales.  The two teams are behind leaders England with 3 points. Group B is closed by Iran with 0 points.   In the first half of the game, US domination, was sealed by Weah’s opening goal. In the second half, the Welsh reaction was vehement, resulting in the penalty kick converted by Gareth Bale.

🇺🇸 United States:  Weston McKennie (Juventus), 13th minute got a yellow card. He played until the 66th minute replaced by Brenden Aaronson.
Sergino Dest (Milan) 11th minute got a yellow card and played until the 74th minute replaced by DeAndre Yedlin.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales:  Ethan Ampadou (Spezia) played until the 95th minute and was replaced by Joe Morrell.

Wales equalized for the 1 – 1 in the 82nd minute. Captain Gareth Bale converted a penalty with a left-footed shot. The penalty is conceded by Walker Zimmerman after a foul on Bale.
