As reported by the Italian Football Federation, the first session begins at 9:30 am local time (2:30 pm Italian time) and will be open to the press for the first 60 minutes.  The conditions of Marco Verratti have to be checked since he hasn’t taken part in the last sessions due to a slight case of the flu, while goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, who was back training with his teammates yesterday, seems to have fully recovered from the rib problem that kept him at rest during the past few days.

Immobile: “The best is yet to come”. Insigne: “Now we have to beat England”

Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne. They were the scorers of the goals that allowed Italy to win 5-3 against Fluminense in the last test before the start of the World Cup:

“I was excited after the first goal, you can imagine how I felt after three goals ” said Immobile in the mixed zone ” it is always important to score, even if the match was not an official one.  But the best is yet to come, we have to be ready against England”. Asked whether he feels he could be one of the starters, Immobile remained humble. “The coach makes the decisions, we have to be ready to give our best even if we come off the bench”.

Lorenzo Insigne was also happy, after scoring two goals with assists from his former Pescara teammate: “We are really familiar with each other so it’s easier to play like this, even if the team and the coach deserve the goal”:  Insigne analyzed the match by saying: “The fact that we took in three goals was not important tonight, the match wasn’t important for the score, the score will be important when we play against England.  They are strong and we have to be ready”.
