Cagliari making the official announcement sacking coach Gianfranco Zola and his staff on Monday 9 March 2015.    It was a tough decision but considering the results the sacking was obvious.   Zola will be replaced by coach Zdenek Zeman returning again….

Here is the situation.  Cagliari current standing: 18th position with 20 points, 4 wins, 8 draws, and 14 lost, 32 goals scored, 49 goals conceded and a negative goal difference of -17.  Challenge for Zeman is to save Cagliari to remain in Serie A next season.

Bottom line, Zola was sacked after losing the Serie A Week 26 game, Sampdoria 2 – 0 Cagliari, Goals:  33′ Lorenzo De Silvestri (S), 72′ Samuel Eto’o (S) on Saturday 7 March 2015 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy.
