What a thrilling one-sided showdown! Inter triumphed in Serie A Week 3, decisively defeating Atalanta 4-0 on Friday, August 30, 2024. The atmosphere at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium was electric, leaving Inter fans overjoyed.  Thanks to this victory, Inter has extended their unbeaten streak to 12 league matches against Atalanta, with an impressive record of 7 wins and 5 draws.  This impressive run marks a record streak for them in Serie A. They’ve also triumphed in their last four games. The last time Atalanta celebrated a victory over Inter was on November 11, 2018, when they won 4-1 at the Gewiss Stadium.

It’s an own goal by Berat Djimsiti to give the lead to Inter in the 3rd minute! Mkhitaryan and Pavard connect at the three-quarter mark, passing to Thuram, who tries to send a low cross to the far post. Djimsiti inadvertently touches the ball, surprising Carnesecchi at his post.

Atalanta found themselves in a tough spot as Inter netted another goal just 10 minutes into the match. Nicolò Barella fired a left-footed shot that soared into the top right corner, thanks to an assist from Benjamin Pavard.
