In a video message posted today on the club’s English-language Twitter account, the Giallorossi number 10 spoke of his excitement at playing the Catalan side.
Totti said he was ‘happy to go back to the Nou Camp.’ The captain revealed it will be ‘exciting’ to line up against Barcelona. Francesco, who is about to begin his 24th season with Roma, will be one of the stars of a game he dubbed ‘a wonderful match.’
Totti takes on Lionel Messi and the Blaugrana who won the most recent edition of the Champions League in June, beating Juventus in the final. Above all, he will once again cross paths with Luis Enrique, the man who coached him in 2011-12 and who is remembered fondly by the players and club in the capital.
