Guida to take charge of Verona v Roma, Saturday 22 August 2015

Marco Guida will be the referee for the Giallorossi’s Serie A 2015-16 season opener against Verona on Saturday. Kick off has been set for 18:00 at the Stadio Bentegodi.

It will be the tenth time the referee from the Italian Referees’ Association of Torre del Greco has officiated an AS Roma league game. The Giallorossi’s record so far with him in charge reads five victories, three ties and a single defeat.

The very first time Roma crossed paths with Guida was back on September 22, 2011, during the 1-1 home draw with Siena when Luis Enrique was in the dugout. Most recently he was in charge on January 6, 2015, when a goal from Davide Astori handed Rudi Garcia’s men all three points away against Udinese.

Guida will be assisted on Saturday by linesmen Marco Barbirati and Andrea Marzaloni, fourth official Fabio Galloni and goal-line assistants Andrea Gervasoni and Renzo Candussio.
