The Curva Sud
Dan Meis: “This is the view of the pitch from Suite level, looking toward the south end. The Curva Sud stands alone as its own seating deck, a nearly continuous wall of fans to intimidate opposing teams. On non-game days, the Curva Sud also serves as a 15,000 seat venue for smaller concerts and other performances and events.”
Exterior Plaza
“Intended to evoke one of Rome’s most beloved and iconic landmarks, the Colosseum, the design incorporates an ultra-modern, steel and glass stadium, wrapped in a stone “scrim”. This scrim, a floating stone screen that envelops the stadium is a dynamic contemporary interpretation of the stone arches of the famous arena. A translucent canopy protects the entire seating bowl from the elements.”
Curva Sud Entry
“Raised up on a plaza to accommodate two levels of parking, the grand stairs make for a dramatic entry to the stadium and surrounding activity. Situated prominently facing the primary pedestrian pathways is the Curva Sud entrance, flanked on either side by main general admission and VIP entries.
Roma Village: Night Time
“Roma fans will have the ability to experience the history and heritage of the club in a modern social setting all year round.”
Roma Village: Bridge looking East
“Roma Village will offer a wide range of entertainment, restaurant and retail venues, situated around a new interpretation of Rome’s Spanish Steps.”
Roma Village: Training Center
“A state-of-the-art football training facility will sit adjacent to the new stadium, where Roma’s first team will train on a year-round basis. Players, coaches, technical and medical staffs will be based in this world-class training compound. The Center will include strength and conditioning facilities, locker rooms and hydrotherapy, a pool, and a theater to review game footage. An adjacent panoramic restaurant will offer views overlooking the practice pitches.”
Roma Village: Ramp Looking South
“In addition to being the place to hang out before and after games, Roma village also supports a wide range of year-round activities. Temporary modular retail units and other facilities can be easily rearranged and deployed around the site as needed.”

“At its gateway, the plaza gently meanders down to the heart of Roma Village – providing opportunities for roof decks and outdoor terraces, drawing on the rich tradition of Italian piazzas.”
Roma Village: Brewery
“An on-site brewery not only provides the stadium with a continuous supply of fresh beer, but creates a destination for touring the facilities. The brewery features a covered plaza and roof terrace serving food and drink.”
Roma Village: Bridge looking north
“A bridged walkway serves as a gateway to the Antiquities Gallery and AS Roma Hall of Fame, which will celebrate the history and heritage of one of the world’s most storied clubs. Conceived as the ultimate fanzone for AS Roma supporters, the plaza is anchored by a Nike Superstore, with one entire exterior wall a giant LED screen facing the stairs up to the stadium podium. This provides an outdoor venue for everything from viewing Roma away games to film premiers.”
