Giallorossi Primavera boss Alberto De Rossi spoke to Roma TV ahead of his side’s semi-final clash with Lazio. The match takes place at Savona’s Stadio Bacigalupo tomorrow, Friday June 12, at 18:00 CET, with the winner going through to the final for a shot at Scudetto glory.

How do you prepare to face a team like Lazio?
“We need to show consistency, as we do in all games. We can’t give a single millimeter, otherwise you risk giving your opponents the chance to get back into the game and getting the best of you. Our match against Spezia is the perfect example of the attitude we need to avoid – we started well, but then we started believing the match was already ours. We can’t allow ourselves to do that, so we’ll need to have great focus.”

Arturo Calabresi spoke of this being a deserved chance for revenge. How do you see it?
“Calabresi is one of our most important figures and understands the feelings of the group. We want to take revenge in terms of the result. We go into the derby calmly, but we’ll try to even things back up.”

What influence will playing away from Roma on a neutral ground have?
“None at all. The guys have gone round the word – this is no different. The synthetic pitch might play a part, as lately we’ve trained on grass fields. In any case, we would have faced the same difficulties against Inter. The Final Eight stage involves the elite teams in the Primavera category. “

How would you judge your roster’s physical conditioning?
“Good. We paid for a lack of tempo in the first half against Spezia, but that was due to the long break after the end of the group stages. After half-time, however, we kicked on. I’m convinced that we’ll improve on that in the semi-final.”

Roma and Lazio will kick off at the Stadio Bacigalupo in Savona tomorrow at 18:00 CET, with the winner advancing to the final of the 2014/15 Primavera championship.
