It started in 1928 against La Dominante, a Genoa-based team that had come into existence in 1927 by order of the Fascist regime and was dissolved three years later. The Giallorossi emerged victorious from their meeting with the team kitted out all in black: 2-1 with goals by Volk and Bernardini. That was the first time Roma played on 25 November.
