The Viola Primavera team lost 2-1 to Verona in the Viareggio Cup semi-finals this evening. Minelli gave Fiorentina hope when he broke the deadlock in the 8th minute but Hellas quickly turned the tables through Fares and a Cappelluzzo penalty following Mancini’s sending-off. Ten-man Fiorentina were unable to fight back and sadly exit the tournament one step short of the final.
