👉🏆 Fiorentina ended the UEFA Europa Conference League Matchday 2 with a draw on Thursday 5 October 2023 at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Ferencvaros have 4 points at the top of the Group F Standings, while Fiorentina currently has 2 points. We might think Fiorentina played bad. Yet, Fiorentina took courage and despite being down by a goal, they managed to save a point in the agonizing 93rd minute.
The game was uphill because Ferencváros led the scoring in the 25th minute with Barnabás Varga. The second half offered a decidedly different challenge. Fiorentina conceded a lot of space in the first 5 minutes of the second half, and Ibrahim Cissé skilfully exploited a missed goal for Viola to score Ferencvaros’ second. In the 66th minute, Antonin Barak’s goal arrived, from which they followed for the entire remaining portion of the second half with multiple scoring opportunities, however, fortune did not smile on Fiorentina. First the initiatives of an inspired Nico Gonzalez, then, finally, the 2-2 goal scored by the number 10 himself, immediately canceled by VAR due to an offside by the substitute Kouamé.
Fiorentina did not give up, and in the 93rd minute, bam! Ikoné, fresh with energy, arrived first of all on Gonzalez’s through ball to score the equalizer. In the end, the usual Gonzalez is the protagonist of a turn and a twist that both end just to the side of the mirror defended by Dibusz.
