Georgia and Czechia ended the UEFA EURO 2024 Group Stage Group F Matchday 2 game with a draw on Saturday 22 June 2024 at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany. This will be the first ever meeting between Georgia and Czech Republic in all competitions.

✅ Stats before the game: The Czechs have won five of the last six matches in which they faced a national team for the first time, but the only exception was the 2-1 defeat against Kosovo in the most recent match against these opponents (September 2019). Against Turkey, Georgia lost its first ever match at the European Championships. Since the group stage was introduced, only two countries have lost their first ever match in the competition but still qualified for the knockout stage: Slovakia and Northern Ireland, both in 2016. After beating Switzerland in their opening match of EURO 2008, the Czech Republic have lost seven of their last 12 group stage matches at the European Championships (W3, D2). The Czech national team has not lost both of their first two matches of a European Championship since 2000, against the Netherlands and France in that case. The Czech Republic lost 2-1 to Portugal in the first round of EURO 2024, despite taking the lead by scoring first in the 62nd minute through Lukás Provod – it was the first goal of the later match scored by a team who then lost the match in a European Championship.
