Nainggolan put the hosts in front in the first half after Neto had saved Gervinho’s shot. De Sanctis then displayed some magnificent goalkeeping to keep out Ilicic’s free kick and Babacar’s close-range effort, before Gervinho made it 2-0 on the break deep into stoppage time. Fiorentina good but Roma excellent.
