Atalanta won the Serie A Week 4 beating Fiorentina on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. Atalanta secured a crucial home win, marking their second victory of the season. Unfortunately for Fiorentina, they started strong but ultimately fell short. They remain winless this season, with three draws and one loss to their name.

Fiorentina had a successful run against Atalanta last season, winning both matches 3-2. Despite this, the Viola have not achieved back-to-back wins against Atalanta in Serie A since their impressive streak from 2012 to 2016, during which they won eight straight games.

Fiorentina grabbed the advantage in the 15th minute when Lucas Martínez Quarta found the back of the net with a left-footed shot from close range, capitalizing on a corner given away by Matteo Ruggeri.

Atalanta leveled the score in the 21st minute when Mateo Retegui found the net with a header directed into the bottom left corner. Ademola Lookman provided the assist with a well-placed cross.

Fiorentina regained the lead in the 32nd minute when Moise Kean found the back of the net with a close-range right-footed shot into the bottom right corner, thanks to an assist from Robin Gosens.

Charles De Ketelaere brought Atalanta level at 2-2 with a close-range header that found the top center of the net, thanks to an assist from Éderson.

Atalanta took the lead just before ending the first half. In the 45+1′, Ademola Lookman scored with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Charles De Ketelaere.
