The Viola Under-19s battled back after conceding an early opener to eliminate Bari and move into the Primavera championship semi-finals this evening. Federico Guidi’s young guns fell behind to Damiano’s 9th-minute effort but managed to turn the tables before the break thanks to Diakhate’s leveller (34) and Gondo’s classy backheeled finish (38). The Viola will now do battle with Torino – who beat AC Milan in the quarters – for a shot at the title against either Roma or Lazio next week. Fiorentina’s semi-final is to be played on Saturday at 21:00.
