Montella, Pasqual: "It’ll be a battle. We’ve come to London to move forward in the UEL"

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella and club captain Manuel Pasqual spoke to the press from White Hart Lane this afternoon ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash. “I’m expecting a tough match against a top-quality opponent. We’ll need to be mentally prepared and totally focused on the game. Our experienced players will need to step up for us. Tottenham combine an almost continental playing style with more traditional English features, but we have to play the Fiorentina way and show some courage,” declared Montella. “Cuadrado? We’ve lost a great player. But we’re happy for him – it means we’ve worked well as a team. Salah is also a top-quality player. Tatarusanu? We’ll see how he is today. If he doesn’t make it then there’ll be no problem at all with Neto playing in his place,” continued the Fiorentina coach. Viola captain Manuel Pasqual also fielded questions from journalists in London: “With Cuadrado leaving we’ve lost a fantastic footballer, but we’ve gained an equally good player in Salah. We’re expecting an intense match, like the one against Liverpool a few years ago. It’s certainly not going to be easy; in fact, it’ll be a battle. We’ve come to London to go for it and move forward in this competition. “Harry Kane? He’s exploded onto the scene and is definitely one of their best players. We’ll do what needs doing to stop him. Mario Gomez? His form is down to the whole team’s good work,” concluded Pasqual.
