Vincenzo Montella and Gonzalo Rodriguez met with the gathered media at the Stadio Franchi’s Viola Lounge this evening to discuss tomorrow’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final return leg against Dynamo Kiev. Here is a selection of their comments: Gonzalo Rodriguez “We don’t feel under pressure following recent results. We have some highly experienced players at the club. “Tomorrow is a Europa League game and anyone would like to be here in our place. We played superbly in Kiev, now we want to win tomorrow and go through to the semis. “Dynamo play some excellent football and have some very good players. As always, it will all depend on how we approach the game.” Vincenzo Montella “The draw in Kiev doesn’t mean much. It will be a physical contest tomorrow and we must be ready for it both physically and mentally. “It’s a pity we’ve lost Babacar to injury, he gave us an extra option. “Gomez always does his bit for the team. We expect lots of goals from him. “I’m not sure how fit Pizarro is. I need to work out whether he’s got 90 minutes in him. “Who’s our penalty-taker? It’s never easy to take a penalty. Gonzalo, sitting next to me here, is one of our penalty-takers. “As for the boos at the end of the game against Verona, I think physically and possession-wise we did very well on Monday. My players didn’t deserve to be booed. I’ll always defend my team when they deserve to be defended.” ]]>
