Montella, Borja Valero expect "proud" Roma performance

Vincenzo Montella and Borja Valero held a press conference at the Stadio Olimpico the day before Fiorentina take on Roma in the Europa League round of 16. Vincenzo Montella “We have a tough game ahead of us tomorrow and it could go either way. “Babacar is fine and he might play. Gomez has come through the fitness tests, he’s done everything possible to make this game. “Is this a good time to be playing Roma? I don’t think so. The fans always get behind the team. We won’t have any advantage in that sense. “Roma have some fantastic footballers and I’m sure they’ll play with pride.” Borja Valero “Are Fiorentina playing at their peak? There are ups and downs in every season. We’re doing well at the moment. Everyone is involved and we’re knocking out lots of good results. “Has my form dipped compared to when I first arrived? No, I’m fine. I’m just a year older. “I expect Roma will play at high tempo from the off. We have to strike them at the right moment. “What makes us strong? The team spirit, we’re even more united than last year. “I’ve never won anything so I’d like to keep going as far as possible in this competition.” ]]>
