Luca Lezzerini underwent an operation this afternoon to stabilise the fractured cheekbone he sustained in training yesterday. The operation, which was carried out by Dr Giuseppe Spinelli with ACF Fiorentina orthopaedist Dr Federico Fofi watching on, was a complete success. Lezzerini will be discharged tomorrow and will start his rehabilitation programme in two weeks, wearing a protective mask.
