MILAN – Milan’s youth sector striker Andrea Vassallo was on the score-sheet earlier this week for the Italy Under-18s, scoring a decisive goal in the Azzurri’s 2-1 victory over Iran. After the match, this is what the rossoneri youth team forward had to say:
“Iran are an aggressive side and our performance wasn’t up to our usual standard. The heat was definitely a factor that played a part. I think I did well on a personal level. In the first half I was just missing a goal, which eventually came in the second half. I dedicate this goal to my family that came from Milan to watch me play.”
