YOUTH: MARIO PICCINOCCHI MOTIVATED AHEAD OF THE FINAL-8

MILAN – Youth team player Mario Piccinocchi spoke to the Milan Channel earlier today ahead of the Primavera’s match away at Chievo on Saturday. The match against Chievo is the last match of the regular season before the Final-8, where the rossoneri youngsters coached by Cristian Brocchi will be looking to win the Scudetto:

“I am very happy with my performance on Saturday. It’s been a hard and difficult season in all aspects, but you have to take the positives because I’ve been able to develop and improve on my weak points. The Milan Model is helping to bring out my characteristics. I think the squad has developed a lot, I’ve watched every match from the side-lines and I think that every element of the team has grown a great deal which is down to the desire that they show every day. It’s important that we don’t switch off and that we stay focused, continue to work and tomorrow will be the chance to show what we can do and keep things going. It’s been far too long since Milan won the Scudetto at youth level and we’re going into the finals fully motivated and not afraid of anyone. Once you reach the final stages, every team is prepared and strong, we will go there convinced in our means and we will compete with everyone. We’re happy that lots of Milan youth players are doing well with the national side, it’s a source of pride for the club and we hope they go as far as possible. I am happy about these last matches because I still need to improve fitness wise and I need to settle into this new environment and this new group. They’re all giving me a hand.”
