HACHIM MASTOUR TO THE MILAN CHANNEL: “End the season on a high note.”

MILANELLO – Hachim Mastour spoke to the Milan Channel after training today at Milanello. These were the talented forward’s thoughts ahead of the Sassuolo match on Sunday:

“The victory against Roma has brought back lots of enthusiasm amongst the squad and we’re now extra motivated to end the season in the best possible manner. We will have to repeat our performances from the past two matches. Every player has the desire to end the season on a high note. I would really like to go back to my city and make my debut at Reggio Emilia. I grew up there, I took my first steps there and so at Reggio I feel at home. Sassuolo have no concerns, they’re safe from the drop and so will play with no pressure, while we have to continue on our path and come away with a result because we have the chance to do so.”

Mastour also turned his attention to youth team matters: “The Final-8? Coach Brocchi has told us to enjoy it and to play good football. Lazio are very strong physically, we’re strong on the ball and we have an attractive playing style that makes the difference. They will all be tough sides, but we’re going there to win. I’ve grown a lot physically and mentally. To play amongst the seniors, you work a lot and that’s important. I’ve bonded a lot with El Shaarawy, because I knew him before and we’re similar in dribbling styles. He has a big desire and he’s happy. If he comes on, he will make the difference.”
