🏆 👉 AC Milan ended the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Second Leg, with a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday 8 March 2023 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. In the First Leg, Milan won 1-0. This draw is enough for the Rossoneri to advance to the Quarter-finals.
✅ Stats before the game: In the first leg, Tottenham suffered their first defeat in five matches against Milan (W2, D2) in European competitions. In the two previous home games against the Rossoneri, Spurs won 2-1 (April 1972) and drew 0-0 (March 2011). Milan have won only one of their 21 away games against English sides in European competition (D7 L13): a 1-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford in February 2005. The Rossoneri have lost all of their last three away games in London with aggregate score of 9-1. Tottenham have progressed through two of their last three European meetings after losing the first leg, against Ajax in the semi-final of the 2018-19 Champions League and against Paços de Ferreira in the 2021-22 Conference League qualifiers. Milan have only been eliminated in three of their 21 previous European Cup/Champions League knockout matches after winning the first leg: against Feyenoord (1969-70), Deportivo La Coruña (2003-04) and Barcelona (2012 -13).
