MILAN – Napoli lost 3-2 last night against AS Roma in the first-leg of the semi-finals of the Italian Cup at the Olimpico. Gervinho opened the scoring for the giallorossi in the 13th minute before a rocket from Kevin Strootman doubled their advantage. In the second-half, Benitez’s team drew level thanks to an own-goal from De Sanctis and a goal from substitute Mertens. In the 88th minute though Gervinho scored his second of the game to make it 3-2.
