MILANELLO – Following on from Sunday’s draw with Udinese, the Rossoneri got straight back to work on Monday and held a morning training session at Milanello at 11.30.

The players named in the starting eleven versus Udinese took part in a routine post-match work-out in the gym. The rest of the squad meanwhile started the session in the gym before heading out to the central pitch for a practice match 6 v 6 with goalkeepers on a reduced size pitch.

On Tuesday, the players will be given a day-off by the coach while on Wednesday training resumes again as preparations intensify for Sunday’s lunch-time match at home to Genoa.

The training session on Monday also allowed the medical staff to check up on the fitness of Bonaventura, Kucka and Niang. Here is the official statement:

Juraj Kucka has sustained an injury to one of the muscles in his front left thigh. The midfielder’s fitness will be reassessed in 7 to 10 days. As for M’Baye Niang, a medical report will be made in the coming days. Giacomo Bonaventura is continuing with his treatment for an injury to his right hip.
