SERIE A: MILAN AND UDINESE SHARE THE SPOILS

MILAN – A second-half strike from Niang cancelled out Armero’s early goal as Milan and Udinese played out a 1-1 draw at the San Siro earlier today.

The deadlock was broken on 17 minutes through one-time Rossonero Pablo Armero who was quickest to pounce on a Kuzmanovic header which had come crashing off the crossbar following a great save by Donnarumma, but the teenage shot-stopper could do nothing on the follow-up and stop the Colombian burying the ball home from close range.

Just three minutes after the restart however Bacca sent Niang racing through and the Frenchman picked out his spot to fire past the Udinese shot-stopper at the far post and net his fifth league goal of the season. Karnezis made a great save moments later on a Bacca header from point-blank range while Balotelli, on at half-time for Kucka, tried his luck with two free-kicks.

Milan pinned the visitors back in the closing stages and Bertolacci came agonisingly close to giving Milan the lead, thumping the crossbar from close range while Montolivo had a fierce effort from the edge of the penalty area punched away by the Udinese goalkeeper right at the death.
