Here are the declarations of AC Milan coach  Filippo Inzaghi and players after losing the Serie A Week 14 game, Genoa 1- 0  AC Milan on Sunday 7 December 2014 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy.

“I am happy to be back on the pitch after 6 months, for me it’s like a victory, I suffered being out on the sidelines. Of course, I would have preferred to speak about a victory. I did everything to come back quickly, and now the most important thing is to get back into an ideal shape. I have to thank the club, CEO Galliani, the medical staff, Dr. Tavana, the surgeons that operated on me, my family, my wife, they were the people close to me. We weren’t able to impose our game, especially in the second-half. I think that match-incidents have a big impact, we conceded from a corner-kick. It’s a shame, with a bit more luck perhaps we could have been speaking about a different outcome. Against Napoli we all have to put something extra into it. In the second-half we were missing the ruthlessness to equalize, it will serve us as a lesson.”

“They were dangerous with their corner-kicks in the first-half. In the second-half it was harder, we tried in every way, but we weren’t able to get back into the match. We work well, but unfortunately today it didn’t go well but in the second half we saw a different match. We conceded a goal from a corner kick unfortunately, we have to work on this. Rami and I try to bring our input in terms of determination, but Bonera and Armero also had a very good game. The important thing was welcoming back De Jong and Montolivo in midfield. We have to work this week because the match against Napoli will be very important.”

“We knew it was going to be a hard match. We weren’t clinical enough and we didn’t manage to convert the chances that we created. We then conceded from a dead-ball situation. We have to improve during dead-ball situations and there are things to work on this week. We did everything possible and we’re trying to improve in matches against same-level opponents. Our focus is already on Sunday’s match against Napoli.”

“The match with Napoli will be another important test. Today’s match is part of our growth, the goal we conceded was a bit of a knock-out blow, the team struggled to react. In the second-half, we weren’t as compact, but as always I saw commitment and matches are always conditioned by incidents. They put us in difficulty from corner kicks. We had a chance with Bonaventura, which showed the desire to find an equaliser. Menez has scored 7 goals, and Honda has also scored in lots of matches, but today I thought that Pazzini and Niang could give us a hand in the final 20 minutes but it didn’t end well.”
