ROSSONERI B’DAYS: RICCARDO CARAPELLESE

MILAN – Riccardo Carapellese, a Milan great, would have turned 93 today. He was one of the few players to make the Italian national squad in a period in which it was dominated by players from the “Grande Torino” (the Great Torino side of the 1940s).

“Carappa”, as he was affectionately called, spent 3 seasons with the rossoneri from 1946/1947 to 1948/1949. He was a winger of incredible talent, with immense dribbling skills and ability to take on and beat his opponents. During his time at the club, he made 106 appearances and netted a total of 52 goals.

The club wishes to pay a special thought to him on this day, to a player that gave everything for the club. Best wishes “Carappa”!
