ROBERTO DONADONI HOPING FOR GREAT DERBY, Sunday 13 September 2015

MILAN – Former Milan star and ex-Parma coach Roberto Donadoni spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel earlier today. This is what the Italian had to say, starting with his experience on the gialloblu bench:

“In every situation you find yourself in, you have to do well and try and get the best out of yourself. I will treasure the experience of a complicated season at Parma. The thing that spurs me on is trying to always improve. It should be every coach’s objective to pass this onto his players. Developing and improving is a process that should never stop. Every experience is useful in order to understand the mistakes that are made and that can be treasured. Bonaventura is a player with excellent technical qualities and a very committed professional, I am happy for him. I hope that he can achieve some important objectives with Milan, a club that has a great history and that wants to reach some important goals.”

On this Sunday’s showdown with Inter: “Derbies are the type of matches that leave players with positive memories from their careers, matches that leave you dreaming, especially for someone like me who has always been a Milan fan. I think that on Sunday everything is there for the taking, it will be an open match and I hope that it will be a good spectacle and the players do everything to make it hard for their opponents. Jose Mauri now finds himself in an important set-up like Milan with team-mates that will inevitably take playing time away from him. It’s down to him though to find opportunities to play and break through. He has all the qualities to achieve that.”
