RICCARDO MONTOLIVO THANKS THE FANS FOR SUPPORT

MILAN – The club captain Riccardo Montolivo gave an exclusive interview to the Milan Channel before this afternoon’s training session at Milanello:

On the team’s recent results: “We know we’re going through a difficult moment and that we can only come out of it by working, there is little to say and lots to do. There is only one thought: we cannot go on like this, our fans and the club deserve different, we want to bring them satisfactions, we’re doing everything to get out it. There is always a lack of serenity when the results don’t arrive, we have to get back on track all together, coach, club and players, all united. I only know one recipe: training, improving, follow our coach who has clear ideas and come out of this difficult moment all together.”

A word on his fitness after recovering from his broken leg: “I think I am growing, after 7 months out it’s hard to find the ideal condition right away, usually after a long injury the first matches go very well and then there is a drop, I am working to re-find my best condition. On Sunday (against Parma, editor’s note) it will be a hard match, both sides are going through a not easy moment, they are an aggressive side, they showed that against Juventus in the Italian Cup, but we have no alternative and we must win. The objective is to take things as they come, match by match. We can come out of it with a string of positive results, we can even qualify for Europe.”

More from the skipper: “Salvatore Bocchetti is an excellent player, a really good person, he has international experience and he will definitely give us a big hand. Mattia Destro is a great striker, he has shown that in the past years, I hope that he can help us and that he can score a lot of goals to help us out of this moment. I don’t think there is a problem from a tactical point of view, every one of us has to give more. To the fans I want to say that we are all united. We are also angry about the situation. Once again though thank-you for the support that you are showing us, for the team it is very important. We promise you that we will come out of this moment”.
