It’s worth noting that this was the second match for new Milan coach Sérgio Conceição, and what a remarkable way to make his mark!

What makes this win even more special is that Milan staged a stunning comeback after trailing 2-0, ultimately winning 3-2 with a decisive goal from forward Tammy Abraham. Captain Christian Pulisic also played a crucial role, scoring a goal and rallying the team. Theo Hernandez ignited the comeback by scoring first.

After nine long years, Milan has reclaimed the Italian Super Cup in a thrilling fashion, tying with Inter for a total of eight trophies. Milan’s achievement is remarkable, as they turned the game around after being two goals down at the start of the second half, clinching victory in injury time.

The Nerazzurri initially scored through Lautaro Martinez and Taremi, but Theo Hernandez’s free kick reignited Milan’s hopes. An energetic Leao set up Pulisic’s equalizer, and Abraham, assisted by the Portuguese star, completed the comeback.

This match marked the third time Inter and Milan faced off in an Italian Super Cup final, with each team having previously won once. It was the 13th Super Cup final for both clubs, and they are no strangers to Saudi Arabia, having met in the same final two seasons ago, where Inter won 3-0. The reigning champions, Inter, clashed with Milan, who finished as Serie A runners-up. In the end, AC Milan emerged victorious, claiming all the glory!

In the dying moments of the first half, specifically at 45+1, Inter surged ahead with a goal from Argentine forward Lautaro Martínez. Mkhitaryan, operating on the left flank, set up Taremi in the middle. Taremi looked up and noticed Lautaro Martínez in space. Lautaro took control, pivoted to his left, and struck the ball into the near post, outsmarting goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Inter extended their lead to 2-0 in the 47th minute with a goal from Mehdi Taremi. De Vrij launched a long throw to Taremi, who skillfully controlled the ball, maneuvered past the Milan defense, and found the corner of the net.

In the 52nd minute, AC Milan closed the gap as forward Theo Hernandez found the net. He took a free kick from the edge of the area, curling it beautifully, but it just missed the right post, narrowly evading goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

AC Milan leveled the score at 2-2 in the 80th minute, thanks to Captain America, Christian Pulisic. Leao set up Theo Hernandez, who then delivered a perfect pass to Pulisic in the center. Pulisic skillfully controlled the ball and found the back of the net with his left foot, outsmarting Sommer.

What a thrilling conclusion! AC Milan managed to flip the score and clinched the winning goal in the dying moments of the match. Tammy Abraham was the one to score. Leao showcased his skills by charging into space, leaving Bisseck behind, and setting up Abraham perfectly for an easy finish into the empty net.
