PRIMAVERA BEAT VARESE 3-2

(IN THE PHOTO: a photo from a Primavera match)MILAN – The Milan Primavera side coached by Pippo Inzaghi beat Varese 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in Round 19 of the Primavera Championship.The rossoneri goals came from a first-half brace from Luca Vido and a header from Pedone minutes into the second-half.Varese took the lead on 25 minutes through Forte who beat goalkeeper Gabriel from the penalty spot.Vido then equalised for Milan on 40 minutes after taking on two players before beating the Varese goalkeeper with a left-foot shoot.Moments before the end of the first-half, Vido gave the rossoneri youngsters the lead after bursting into the box to slot the ball past the goalkeeper with a right-foot effort.Milan also had a goal scored by Pinato ruled out for offside on 15 minutes.3 minutes after the restart, Milan made it 3-1 through a header from Pedone.Varese were awarded a second penalty on 67 minutes, but Gabriel denied Forte from the spot.Forte made amends for his penalty miss on 75 minutes to pull one back for the away side but Milan held on for an important win.In the final stages of the match captain Pacifico was sent off for Milan along with coach Pippo Inzaghi who was sent to the stands moments later for protesting.Here were the official line-ups:MILAN: Gabriel; Simic, Pacifico (c), Iotti, Pinato; Pedone, Piccinocchi, Mastalli; Benedicic; Vido, Barisic.
