MILAN – Milan last met Olympique Lyonnais in the Emirate Cup in August 2010 where they drew 1-1, with goals from Marco Borriello and Briand.

The teams last met in a competitive match in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2006. Following a goalless draw in France, Milan ran out 3-1 winners in the return leg.
