PRESIDENT SILVIO BERLUSCONI: “A young and Italian Milan.”

MILAN – The club president Silvio Berlusconi, speaking to his guests today at Milanello, spoke about his vision for Milan. Here is an extract of what he said: “Italians, young, possibly Italian national team players and if possible from our youth sector, we just need to have a bit of patience.”

The President then met up with some of the playing squad with some of his guests present. He said to the players: “We wanted to have a nice photo with your shirts, these guests are the ones that allow us to pay your wages. Congratulations (speaking to Zaccardo, editor’s note) you did some great things against Parma, the goal, you didn’t put a foot wrong, congratulations. I am happy that all of you are here. Welcome to Bocchetti and Paletta, you all have honest faces. We have just spoken about you, the new additions, all Italians, one of you with South American origins, but with an Italian passport. It seems to me that we made good use of the January transfer window.”
