MILAN - Carlo Ancelotti has won the fourth edition of the Enzo Bearzot award. The Real Madrid coach and 4 time Champions League winner with Milan (2 as a player, 2 as a coach), will be awarded his prize on 27 May.
The jury, headed by Italian Football Federation President Giancarlo Abate, were unanimous in their decision: “Ancelotti is one of the few football men to have won both the Club World Cup and Champions League both as a player and a coach. On the bench he has won titles in Italy, France and England in a career during which he has never lost the human touch that has marked him out as a rare exception in the panorama of top coaches the world over”.
