MILAN – The club’s Parish Recreational Centres initiative made a stop in Cagliari today at the San Massimiliano Kolbe centre in Cagliari. The centre headed by Carlo Follesa plays host to more than 200 children between the ages of 5 and 20 and was awarded for its commitment to helping children grow with the healthy and educative values of sport.
A delegation of players including Keisuke Honda, club captain Riccardo Montolivo and Giampaolo Pazzini met the children led by Carlo Follesa and Paolo Ianoe. They were given a celebrative plaque as well as various club gadgets and tickets for this afternoon’s match at the San’Elia stadium.
It was a special day in particular for young Willy, one of the lucky kids at the centre today, as he got to meet one of his idols in person: Robinho, who as luck would have it, celebrated his birthday yesterday.
The Parish Recreational Centres initiative started last season and has already invited more than 307 centres to Milan matches with a total of 5866 tickets given away.
