NOW FOR THE DERBY

MILAN – Here’s what the Rossoneri had to say after Roma-Milan this evening at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome:CLARENCE SEEDORF“I think we were a bit timid in the first half pushing forward. In the second we played higher up the pitch and pressed more, stealing the ball a few times and creating a few chances. We were up against a great team. I have nothing to complain to the players about, they played a very dangerous side tonight and we kept them under control. They gave everything. Now we prepare for Inter and we have 9 days to do it. We move forward. I think Roma have won thier last 15 home matches. I saw Milan play in a dignified way against a side that have been doing well since the start of the season. There’s no shame in losing against a side like this. They believe strongly in their title chances. We’ve got 11 points from 6 matches. The team are on the right road but in games like this evening, you can drop points. Between Roma and Juventus, the numbers show that Juve have something extra but Roma are doing well at both ends of the pitch and all credit to both teams. I do what I can and I think that the team are doing well. There are particular years in the league where the top teams are way ahead of the rest, but all credit to Juventus and Roma who are having great seasons”.KEVIN CONSTANT“Pjanic scored a great goal. We made some mistakes and they did well. What makes us angry is that we were a bit timid in the first half and didn’t play our game as we should have done from the start and if we had done that, it would have been a different game. We were a bit wary of Totti and Gervinho on the breakaway and we stayed low down the pitch for the first half and that was our fault. It’s a shame about the second goal that was offside but that’s not why we lost the game. We shouldn’t be thinking too much about Roma. Now we have to focus on the derby, the most important game of the year. We want to win it and not just for the league position. We want to make the fans and ourselves happy. There are three matches left and we have to win all of them to get into the Europa League”.
