MILAN - Milan and Inter went to penalties in Montepulciano to decide the Scudetto Final. The match ended in extra-time with no score but the Rossoneri lost 4-2 in the shoot-out.
De Santis had the first chance for Milan on 11 minutes but his header missed the target and a minute later Turano delivered a wonderful ball into the area but there was no team-mate to get on the end of it.
Milan almost made the breakthrough just before the half-hour mark but Cutrone was denied by goalkeeper Radu in a one-on-one situation. Crociata was then foiled by the goalkeeper as the Rossoneri coninuted to press but the first-half finished goalless.
The second half was a real battle in the midfield area with neither side gaining an advantage and as the match wore on Milan made a triple substitution, with Segre, Cutrone and Bonanni being replaced by Malberti, Bolis and Meleleo for the final quarter of the contest.
